How we are governed

Traidlinks' Board of Directors includes a range of experienced professionals from diverse sectors bringing together entrepreneurial skill, corporate resources and expertise in development and ethical trade. Several of the current board are founding members; others have joined the board bringing specific skills sets.

The Board of Directors is accountable to the Annual General Meeting.

The Board members are responsible for Traidlinks resources and for fulfilment of its mission. The Board appoint the staff, under the direction of the General Manager who reports to the Board.

Traidlinks is accountable to its donors for its use of public and private funds. Traidlinks also prepares interim reports to donors as appropriate. External evaluation of Traidlinks’ work is used as a standard method in the preparation of reports to donors.

Traidlinks also has obligations under Irish company law. It publishes an annual set of Audited Accounts (in accordance with the ‘Accounting and Reporting by charities: Statement of Recommended Practice’, UK 2005) and an Annual Report of its activities. The annual report and audited accounts are available on our website and are also lodged at the Irish Companies Registration Office.

Traidlinks' auditors are BMOL Partners.  Company Secretarial services are provided by Arthur Cox Solicitors. Traidlinks is a not-for-profit company registerd under Irish law as a private company limited by guarantee and not having a share capital. Company No: 426554.
