Supporting African Companies
There is growing recognition in the international development community of the role trade can play in assisting sustainable economic growth in developing countries, as well as the importance of this in both eradicating poverty and empowering people in developing countries to help themselves. Traidlinks works to engage the Irish business community in promoting trade and enterprise to diminish poverty in the developing world.
‘We know from our own experience that reducing poverty needs strong economic growth and a vibrant private sector. We will work together with Irish Industry and partner companies in Africa to promote trade, investment and technology transfer’.
Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern T.D. at the United Nations General Assembly, September 2005.
The core of Traidlinks’ business lies in supporting small and medium sized African companies to overcome marketplace challenges, by providing and transferring specialist technical skills and business development expertise, and identifying and providing both international and local routes to market.
There is no blueprint. We tailor our services and supports to suit each individual company. To achieve this we focus on 3 key programme areas, each of which is mutually supportive:
1. Skills Exchange
2. Promotion and Awareness Raising
3. Heart of Africa
